Miloš Šejn: MY PRESENT MOMENT
Řezáčovo square, Prague 7

The disintegration of language is one of the causes of the current political, social and environmental crisis. I seek again the roots of speech and artistic language as my being is able to be a part of my present moment in the present world, inside this city, inside this place.

Miloš Šejn was the head of the Studio of Conceptual Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague 1990–2011. Since the second half of the 1960s, he has been working in the fields of visual art and performance, and since 1992 he has been leading the multidisciplinary project Bohemiae Rosa. At present, he focuses on immediate creative possibilities, based on the relationships between the historic humanised landscape and the whole nature. He consciously works in the areas of expressive language between text, artistic footprint, body movement, voice and expansion into space. He performs in the form of personal rituals, site specific projects, theatrical event and festivals all over Europe. In addition to classically understood "works of art", presented in many leading world collections, he is the author of a number of landscape projects and realisations in Cyech republic as well as abroad.
